Chip Rives – Phi Slama Jama Director Joins BstrawRadio

During the “Golden Age” of Houston sports, the University of Houston basketball team made three straight NCAA Final Fours. The team earned the nickname Phi Slama Jama – the tallest fraternity in Texas. Led by Hall of Fame coach Guy Lewis the team is perhaps best remembered for losing in the 1984 final to North Carolina State led by head coach Jimmy Valvano.

Film director Chip Rives, a Houston native, joined BstrawRadio today to discuss his latest work, a ESPN 30 for 30 documentary on Phi Slama Jama.
